Stylish Best Dressed: 2011 SAG Awards

Last night was the 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards and of course I was watching for all my favorite stars looking incredible! It was a rainy day in LA but that didn't stop anyone from looking stylish! While the Golden Globes was just two weeks ago a lot of our favorite celebs got to redeem themselves for their not so stylish fashion choices a few weeks back! While emerald green was the hot color a few week back this awards show it was orange, pink, and blue! There were so many amazing dresses were worn and here are my picks for best dressed of the evening!
Julianna Margulies is a vision in this red YSL gown! Perfect to go with her Actor award!
Diana Agron wears Chanel Haute Couture. Stunning!
While Kim Kardashian might not be the typical "actress" she is a winner in this purple Marchesa one-shoulder gown!

Sarah Hyland is adorable in this Max Mara orange gown! Very spring!
Lea Michele sparkles in this Oscar de la Renta gown!
Sofia Vergara never seems to have a fashion don't! She is drop dead gorgeous in this blue Roberto Cavalli gown.
Jennifer Lawrence is one of my 3 best dressed of the evening. She proves neon pink is the "it color" as she shines in this Oscar de la Renta gown.
Mila Kunis is my second choice for best dressed of the evening and she is gorgeous in this Alexander McQueen gown

I just couldn't narrow it down so my 3rd choice is Julia Stiles in this stunning navy ombre style gown by Monique Lhullier

Stylish Video: UNRACKED by Gilt Group

Everyone who is an online shopping addict knows what Gilt Group is. Well did you know they have a web series where they talk with the hottest designers about what it's like to be a part of the fashion industry. My friends over at Bollare PR shared this with me along with 6ShoreRoad. It features Kenneth Jay Lane, the INCREDIBLE jewelry designer and if you watch the video below you can see Scoop founder Stefani Greenfield learn what it's like for Kenneth to create some of the most iconic women in the world! If you are a true stylelista, you have to watch this video!

Stylish Clothing Line: 6 ShoreRoad

With spring and summer right around the corner, I know I have been excited to bring out all my dresses and shorts and of course my bathing suits! While I won't be living in the valley this summer, SoCal is still the place where a bikini is normal attire during the spring and summer months. So of course having the perfect coverups and easy to wear pieces are essential right!

Well, 6 ShoreRoad has you covered! I was contacted by my friends over at Bollare PR and they introduced me to this incredible new line that I am gushing over! The New York based clothing line redefines swimwear coverups by blending the boundary between ready to wear and resort wear. The line is inspired by those lazy Sunday's spent at Sunset Beach on Shelter Island, the modern silhouette featured in the collection and the variations of coverups and coordinates that can be worn from dusk 'til dawn. With Spring Break right around the corner and all those beach getaways I know I am planning, why not look stylish in 6 ShoreRoad coverups or even a romper!?

What's even better is this awesome clothing line is AFFORDABLE! With pieces $150 and under you can remain stylish without breaking the bank! I would have to say that this line is stylelista approved times 100! You MUST check out this line! You can follow them on Twitter or Facebook and check out their website, www.6shoreroad.com

My other favorite polish company's spring 2011 collection is all about 1960's French glamour, did they read my mind or what!? The colors are TO DIE for and are a stylelista MUST HAVE! Stylish New Favorite: Elizabeth Olsen

While I have always loved MK and Ash I even love their little sister, Elizabeth, even more. Not only is she the inspiration behind the twin's super famous line Elizabeth and James, but is this year's Sundance Film Festival's it girl. With 2 films being shown at the festival it's hard to believe she is still a student at NYU getting her second degree! What's even more awesome is she is only 21 years old! Looks like she's following in her older sister's footsteps! I don't what it is about her, but she catches my eye with her effortless fashion and is a stylelista favorite! See below why she is my favorite!

Sister's Are Forever...

Today is a day that is probably the most exciting day for any teenager. Today is my sister's 18th birthday! I am very protective of my baby sister and it is bittersweet that my baby sister is now a legal adult. I also can't believe that in just a few short months, she will no longer be living at home and will be off in college living her own life! I am at a loss for words, my sister is the most amazing person I know, and while we haven't always gotten along, I don't know anyone in the entire world who I trust more than my sister!  There are so many quotes that I love about sister's, but this one stood out to me the most.
"For there is no friend like a sister, in calm or stormy weather, to cheer to on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands" That quote describes my relationship with my sister perfectly!
I only wish I was there to celebrate with her, but I know that this video is a little piece of me to her! Enjoy! Happy Birthday Marisa! May your day be everything you dreamed and cheers to the beginning of a wonderful adult life!

Stylish Organization Tip: Nail Polish

This weekend my nail polish collection grew quickly in just a matter of days. My amazing friend, B, surprised me with a "thank you" gift that was a Deborah Lippmann "All that Jazz" trio with 3 amazing sparkle colors that are to die for! I was soo excited to add them to my collection. Along with those three colors, I also finally received my Katy Perry Collection that I ordered so many weeks ago. With these 7 new colors, my basket that I was using to hold all my colors finally outgrew itself. So I started researching the best ways to hold my 95 and counting and then it came to me, I can use something I already have! A plastic 3 drawer rolling cart. It is perfect way to hold all my polishes and it has 3 drawers so if I grow out one drawer I can just continue on to the next drawer! It is a perfect option that is inexpensive and is easily accessible! Check out my collection below!
The 3 drawer rolling cart can be found at Target for only 20 bucks!

Stylish Premiere: American Idol Season 10

If you know my well, you know that besides fashion singing is my other true passion. While I have never had enough courage to go audition I definitely give props to those who get the courage to audition for the be all the end all show, American Idol. I watched the show early on but stopped and last night I decided to start again as the 10th season began.
This season is completely different because Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler along with Randy Jackson are now the infamous idol judges. These three create a dynamic so different than what it was before and from what I saw it is going to be an incredible season. While not every audition was a success there were some that blew me away along with judges! I can't wait to see how each contestant progresses and who takes that coveted title. Of course I had to include fashion somewhere and I was sort of amazed by Jennifer Lopez's fashion's on the shows. She definitely stands being surrounded by men! Who do you think is the next American Idol? Any guesses? I think that Jersey girl might have a shot! I think the funniest person was the guy who sang "Party in the USA" CLASSIC!

Stylish Author: Lo Bosworth

If you read my post last Friday, you saw I included a picture of Lo Bosworth promoting her first book, The Lo-Down and of course I couldn't wait to share a review of the book with all my readers! I am so excited that my 2 favorite hill's stars are now authors! Lo's book is definitely a must read. The book is all about relationships and Lo offering her advice on how to keep a healthy relationship. Lo is no stranger to drama and has a lot of insight she shares in this must have book! Even Lauren Conrad is a fan!

Of course she should be since she and Lo have been best friends since elementary school! The Lo-Down stands apart because of its positive message. She not only offers relationship advice but general life advice and her message is incredible! One of my favorite quotes from the book is,"When you change yourself in order to create a comfortabe fitting relationship, its bound to fail from day one" Those words really stuck with me because we all are guilty of changing ourselves in order to get a guy to like us and how many times have those relationships lasted? Normally not very long! I definitely recommend this book to everyone out there.

Lo knows what she's talking about and the book is addicting! What is even better is that she has a website that you can advice anytime you want, even after you finish the book! So hurry and get your copy of this stylish must have read!
Take it from me, Lo’s insight into relationships feels like advice from a girlfriend.”--Lauren Conrad, bestselling author of L.A. CANDY

Stylish Girl of the Month: January 2011

With award season in full force, I thought it was only appropriate to choose my stylish girl of the month, the first of 2011! When I sat down to think of who has really caught my eye in the past month loads of names came to mind, but after really looking at who portrayed all the stylish characteristics, the choice became easy. So the January 2011 SGOM is Michelle Williams. While her choice of dress at the Golden Globes on Sunday may have no been my favorite she is a true fashionista in her own. With her racy new movie Blue Valentine she is in full force promoting the film. She graces the cover of Marie Claire showing off her adorable pixie platinum blonde locks and shows that even a tragedy she can still stand strong! Here are some of my favorite Michelle William's looks!
Michelle is wearing a Wren skirt at the 2010 New York Film Critics Circle Awards. Her hair cut is very Mia Farrow-esque.
Even on the most casual days hanging out with her ADORABLE daughter Matilda she is stylish! I am loving that coat!
Here in Oscar de la Renta, she looks chic and girly! A stylelista must!
Of course I had to include sparkle.
Even with a toddler she manages to stay stylish as ever!

Clearly you can see why I chose Michelle as this month's pick, she is a stylelista herself!

Stylish Best Dressed: 2011 Golden Globes

Last night, was one of my favorite times of year, the Golden Globes. Of course the reason I love this awards show is because of the fashion! My prom dress was a replica of a dress seen on the Golden Globe red carpet, so we have a very close relationship!

A warm and sunny day in LA, the perfect setting for the awards, much better than last year's rainy weather! Of course, the fashion didn't disappoint and if you follow me on twitter you saw that I was tweeting away my favorite celebs dressed in stunning gowns by my favorite designers! Emerald Green and nude were extremely hot colors of the evening. I am so excited Glee got recognized! Of course I had to pick my best dressed celebs, and while everyone looked gorgeous only one can win my award for stylish best dressed! Here are my picks for best dressed of the evening!
Emma Stone is showing that blondes do have more fun in this peach Calvin Klein gown
Mila Kunis is wearing the hottest color of the evening emerald green by Vera Wang
January Jones looks like a ball of fire in this red gown by Versace
Natalie Portman showed off her growing baby bump in this Viktor and Rolf gown. Congrats on the win!
Catherina Zeta Jones wore one of the popular color of the night, emerald green gown by Monique Lhullier
Glee star Dianna Agron is stunning in this nude gown by J. Mendel
My other favorite Glee star Lea Michele shines in this pink gown by Oscar de la Renta
Carrie Underwood sparkles in this Badgley Mischka gown
Sandra Bullock also sparkles in this Jenny Packham nude gown
'Sooo glad that stars agree that sequins and sparkles are a must! Anne Hathaway is GORGEOUS in this Armani dress.
I love this hot pink gown worn by Claire Danes! Calvin Klein nailed it! Congrats on her win as well!
I, of course had to pick my best dressed of the night, and ironically she was one of the first stars to arrive, Olivia Wilde in this Marchesa gown and the most AMAZING Christian Louboutin heels is my choice for best dressed! Way to go Olivia!

Stylish Designer Spotlight: Adina Reyter

Being The Hills obsessed fan that I am, I was so excited to hear Lo Bosworth was writing a book, The Lo Down, I ordered it back in August! Well finally the book was released this past Tuesday and that means Lo is traveling all over the country doing book signings! I was approached by Kimmi from Bollare, a fashion and beauty PR firm based in Los Angeles and how one of her clients, Adina Reyter's product was seen on Lo at her recent book signing in NYC. These gorgeous gold tiny rectangle earrings are to die for!

I am also loving the jewelry designer Adina. Like myself, she is a native Californian and inherited her mother's "effortless, elegant design sense and style, and watched her grandfather and father run the family knitwear business." From an early age Adina was exposed to the industry and now has created her own creative company that displays those traits and more! She doesn't follow the trend of other West Coast designers, she's unique and that's why she is definitely stylelista approved! She is also a hit with many of my favorite celebrities from Lauren Conrad to Amanda Seyfried and Sophia Bush! You can see all of Adina's designs on her website, and also follow her on Twitter and Facebook

Have a stylish weekend!
