Stylish Closet Additions: A Few Key Items

Not working full time has basically left me with no shopping budget and having to work from what I have in my closet, and if you know me when I haven't added some new items to my wardrobe in over a month, I start to get antsy. I have been noticing that many of my outfits are lacking an item that can easily be classified as a "key item" and thus be worn with multiple outfits. I decided to make a list of the key items I need and came up with these. What are your key items you MUST have in your closet?

A Stylish February

I can't believe today is already February 1st! February happens to be one of my favorite months (I know, I say that A LOT!) but it really is due to the exciting things that happen throughout the month. From New York Fashion Week to London Fashion Week to Paris and Milan Fashion Week, February is a fashion filled month and is basically heaven for any fashion loving blogger. While January might have been a bummer of a month for me personally, I am hoping that February will bring much happier times! So here's to a great month of fashion and fun!

January Stylish Girl of the Month: Kristen Cavallari

I literally can't believe today is the last day of January. This month FLEW by! I feel like I was just picking my December 2011 SGOTM and now I am already starting my first pick for 2012! This month has been a celebrity packed month and I went around and around trying to figure out who the best choice was for this month and I ended up choosing someone I wouldn't have though I would have chosen. I was a die hard Laguna Beach fan and Lauren Conrad was always my favorite and I always despised Kristen Cavallari for being such a snob but as the years have gone on, I have realized she actually has really awesome fashion taste and with her recent news of her expecting I figured she would be a great pick for January's Stylish Girl of the Month and a great way to start of a year of stylish girls! Kristen really does have a taste for fashion and knows how to dress for her body and has similar style to my own, girly yet California chic. Check out why I chose her below!

Stylish LA Hiking Experience

This past weekend was one of the most fun weekends I have had in LA for a really long time. I had been hiking before in Malibu but had been craving to hike into the Hollywood Hills for months. I finally got to do it Saturday with a dear friend and I must say it was AMAZING. It's the perfect hiking distance, 3.6 miles round trip, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day in SoCal, 75 degrees to be exact, which made for the perfect hiking expierence. When we made it to the top of the mountain, it was seriously like so peaceful even tho there were tons of people around. Seeing he beautiful view of the city made me more sure than ever I am living in the right place and while I might be having a rocky time, its only going to get better! I recommend ANYONE and EVERYONE doing this hike if they come to LA or live here! Bronson Canyon is the best! AMAZING weekend after such a rough week! Check out my pictures from the hike below!

Stylish Trend: Heart Graphic

While I might not be a huge fan of Valentine's Day (I believe its just a day for Hallmark to make money), I am a lover of all things pink and girly. As I was reading my monthly fashion magazines, an overwhelming trend I saw was the heart graphic on EVERYTHING from clothing to accessories. Even some celebrities have jumped on the heart trend and are sporting huge hearts on tees and tanks. I decided to shop around at a few places and see what other items were heart there with this heart graphic and I narrowed it down to these. What do you think of this trend?

Stylish iPhone Cases

I have had my iPhone for almost 3 months now and I still am trying to figure out how I lived without it for so long! Unlike Blackberry, iPhone cases are more common and while I bought an adorable Kate Spade polka dot one when I bought my phone, I am feeling the urge to upgrade to something new for Spring. I searched all the places I have seen various cases on and narrowed my choices down to these five! What do you think?
