Stylish SoCal Blogger Society Fall-tastic Brunch Recap

This past Sunday I hosted another brunch for SoCal Blogger Society. We ventured back to Venice to Primitivo Wine Bistro on Abbot Kinney for a fall-tastic morning of brunching and blogging. While it was hotter than hell that day, the girls braved the heat and we ended up having a wonderful morning! It was so awesome to finally meet some of the ladies I have been chatting with for so long! Wendy was there to shoot the entire thing and while all of us were dying of heat stroke, we posed for pixs. Please ignore the frizzy hair and wrinkled dress in my shots, the heat is to blame entirely! Thanks to Primitivo for hosting us and thanks to all the girls who attended!

Stylish Beauty Must Have: NovaWhite

I seem like a never ending struggle I have is keeping my teeth super white. While I avoid soda I am a coffee addict and drink wine so keeping my teeth consistently white is a struggle. I have basically tried every single whitening system there is it feels like and while they work for a short time, my teeth go right back to being white. I was getting to the point where I was going to go to my dentist and just get bleach trays since that was the only method I haven't tried until I found NovaWhite. NovaWhite is a Professional At-Home Teeth Whitening System. This system uses the same solution that dentists use but is practically half the price! I always had the issues that my teeth would get SUPER sensitive when I used any whitening strips and this was the first system I used that I had no sensitivity. NovaWhite's SuperNova and Go Kits ($54.00) come  with all whitening necessities: generic or customized whitening trays, whitening gel solution, lip balm, breath spray, wash cloth and travel bag. I got the chance to try out the customized whitening trays and can I say I already see a difference just after one use! You fit the trays to your mouth by the boil and bite  method and the trays literally are molded exactly to your mouth in minutes! Using the pre measured gel you squeeze them into the trays and leave them on for about an hour and voila, whiter teeth! It was the absolute perfect quick fix for me. I was so excited in the beginning to use it that I forgot to take a before picture , but if you look at my past outfit shots, you can tell my teeth definitely needed some whitening love. Below is my after shot and I am so pleased with the results and definitely will continue to use this system! (mind the horrible pix quality and my messy hair!)
I have more great news! NovaWhite is offering Stylelista Confessions readers 15% and off their online purchases using STYLELISTA15. If you are looking for a quick and affordable way to whiten your teeth without the annoying sensitivity, definitely pick up Nova White!

Stylish NYFW Spring 2015 Beauty Trends

I know I haven't been reporting on any fashion week trends, but I promise I didn't forget and am going to give you my usual NYFW beauty round up of the hot trends we are most likely to see in Spring 2015! NYFW was another incredible week of fashion and beauty and we saw tons of trends I can't wait to sport in the coming months. I broke it down in three groups, hair, makeup and nails.

Makeup
A HUGE trend I saw at NYFW with makeup was the "natural" look, meaning sans mascara, liner, shadow etc) which I am all for!
While the natural style was a popular one, I did see another trend that I am definitely interested to see if it catches on. Glittery facial embellishments of all shapes and forms were a popular trend. From stars to chunks of glitter or eyebrow rings, embellishments weren't just seen on clothing this season.
The third trend that was common was bold lids. While last season it was bold lips the bright neon colors have moved up the eyelids and are definitely going to be a huge trend for spring 2015! I personally love the neon blues, it definitely is daring but stylish!

Hair
Braids seem to be coming back season after season, which I am totally okay with! From messy loose braids to tight fishtail braids, braids were all over!
I wear this next trend so often I am so excited I am the actually ahead of the game this time! Low ponytails were a frequent hair style but with messy

Nails
My favorite part of this recap is obviously the nails! Like some of the makeup we saw on the runway, the nail trends were also very simple yet chic. Simple sophisticated nail art was what we saw. Solid colors with one nail with art and monochromatic styles was all the rage in NYC.
