So I might be a little behind, but I am obsessed with Glee! I just started watching this season and have already ordered Season 1 on DVD. I honestly don't know why I haven't been obsessed with this show since it started since I sing myself and music is one of my serious passions, but I guess better late than never.

On Tuesday night's epsiode, the Glee cast members channeled their inner Britney, and being a 1990 baby I grew up with Ms. Spears and her music, so it brought me back to my childhood days of dancing and singing in my front yard with Britney's Baby One More Time blasting from the stereo! This episode was classic, taking B. Spears songs and making them their own, totally stylelista approved! Here are some shots from the episode "Britney/Brittany"

Stylish Secret: Nordstrom Rack

So I have a confession to make, I am a bargain shopper.
I love to spend hours in Nordstrom Rack seeking out the best clothes and shoes to complete my wardrobe. About 99 percent of my jeans are from the Rack since I have decided that I can get the same jeans I see in department stores there for half the price! I will admit many of my Free People items are from the Rack as I always seem to find shirts in my size for half the price!

While visiting my family in Texas I of course made a trip to downtown Houston and visited the new Nordstrom Rack and found loads of stuff! Unfortunately I did not find any jeans but I did find the most amazing pair of Sam Edelman grey suede wedges that was basically love at first sight, after putting one of the shoes on, I was instantly sold, I didn't even care if I had nothing to wear them with I knew I HAD to have them and for a steal of only 69 bucks when I came to find out there originally they were 170 made my purchase much more satisfying! Here are some of my other stylish items I bought while on my trip to Texas!
and I couldn't forget my boots I have been eyeing!

Addio Milano, Ciao Paris....

Milan Fashion Week is coming to an end and like New York is was of course amazing! Ending with Dolce and Gabanna, Ferragamo, and Missoni showing their Spring 2011 collections, it was the perfect ending to an amazing week of Italian Fashion and now its time for Paris, which we all know is basically my Christmas and New Year's all wrapped into one. From Chanel to Dior to Balmain to Chloe every designer that I have loved for as long as I can remember will be showing their collections and the anticipation is already killing me! But I wanted to share my favorite looks from the final days of Milan Fashion Week and share the link to the schedule for the Paris Shows! We all know it will be a stylish week of french haute couture!

Stylish Experience: OPI Gel Manicure

credit: OPI.com
So a perfect way to start out my fall break was manicure's and pedicures with my mom! Since I have been swamped with school and work I haven't been able to actually get a manicure or pedicure in quite some time so I was ready to take full advantage of this opportunity! I decided I wanted to try a gel manicure after reading so much about it in magazines and from my friends!

I was bummed when I only could choose from about 6 colors at this particular salon, but I figured I would try something new and step outside the box. I chose to use Cajun Shrimp by OPI from their Axxium Soak Off Gel Lacquer. This is supposed to last about two weeks, which is what had me sold right off the bat. I will say I am a little bummed that the color isn't darker, but I now know for next time, and when I researched these colors they actually have many of my favorite colors available, just this salon didn't have them in stock.

Here are some pictures of my experience! I will say that the manicure is awesome, I am just someone who loves dark colors, so not having a dark color painted on my nails is something out of the ordinary for me, but I can't wait to see how long they really do last!

"Natural Fashion"

So I was telling my friend that I thought it was ironic that yesterday was the first day of fall and the last day of our summer quarter at school. I think that our school timed it perfectly! While I might have spent over a week working on my window display and have had no sleep due to it and other final projects, I must say the end result was worth it! My group and I have gotten amazing feedback, saying it is the best window the school has seen. While I discuss things I am doing at school, I knew I had to share this particular project since its beyond amazing! I had an awesome group and we all worked so hard. For most of us it was our first window display and I think it was a major success! We hand made everything in the window from the dress to the backdrop to even using real trees! I learned a lot and am so glad I got to work on it!

Well I am off to Texas tomorrow morning for my Fall break so don't worry I will be blogging away about my shopping experiences of course! Have a stylish weekend!

Welcome Fall...

Finally, it is the first day of the fall season! While I may live in a place where it is still hotter than you know what, that doesn't stop me from lusting over the amazing fall items I plan on buying next week on my trip back home to Texas! While the forecast says it will be a warm 95 degrees here in the valley, I can pretend I am somewhere the leaves are falling and the air is crisp. I am dreaming of wearing boots and scarves and my favorite J brands, so I knew I had to share my must have items with all you stylelistas!

Burberry Proorsum Spring 2011

So while this week has been hectic beyond words, and sleep is something I barely get, that didn't stop me from being the dedicated stylelista that I am to wake up bright and early to watch the Burberry show live from London. Even though there were some technical difficulties and a few model mishaps, the show was beyond incredible. The basic pieces with shots of bright colors was perfect and once again Christopher Bailey and his team have created yet another successful season at Burberry. While I wish I could pick every single look, here are my favorites! Oh and the shoes that every model wore are like on my list to buy!

Mulberry for Target

If you follow stylelista, you know that I love when Target partners up with a designer and creates a less expensive live for their stores. Well once again Target has chosen an amazing designer to collaborate with, Mulberry. I posted yesterday their looks from London Fashion Week, and I have been eyeing a Mulberry purse for as long as I can remember (yes, I have been eyeing many purses for quite some time). What's perfect about all these bags is that they are all under 50 bucks! Stylelista approved!
So I thought I would share some of the items for the Mulberry for Target collection debuting October 10th going through December 24th.

I see London....

So we have left New York and moved onto London! I must say even though I am neck deep in final projects and final tests, I manage to squeeze in time to watch my favorite designer's newest collection. Who needs sleep when you have amazing fashions to look at!
While watching the shows live stream in London might be a little more difficult thanks the wonderful time change, that doesn't stop me from stalking Style.com for the latest pictures and reviews from the shows! Seeing pictures of the shows brings me back to my trip to London this past July and how much I want to go back already!

Mulberry, Sass & Bide, Twenty8Twelve, and Vivienne Westwood Red Label have caught my eye thus far and I of course have to share my favorite stylish looks with you stylelistas!
