Target's Design for All 20th Anniversary: Stylish Past Outfits

Monday, August 19, 2019

I know, I know I have been completely and utterly MIA. These past few weeks have been brutal. Last week I spent the entire week at a work conference and am still recovering from actually having to wake up and get dressed everyday (work from home problems) so bear with me as I get back into my routine. We all know I love me a good Target collaboration and when I found out that this year they would be bringing back 20 of them to honor the 20th Anniversary, I about fell off my chair. I mean to give you an idea, I bought my very first piece back in 2007, I was a junior in high school! See the very last photo in this post for proof! It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years of epic collaborations and I personally cannot wait to re-live the excitement as they bring back some of the adorable pieces on September 14th. I'm talking Anna Sui's "Gossip Girl"-inspired range of girly dresses and Jason Wu's adorable cat print to Rodarte's dreamy tulle confections and Missoni's iconic striped knits. What's even crazier is that this is just 20 of the 150+ collaborations Target has done, this is only a small snippet of what Target has done. I don't know of any other brand who has done anything even close to that.

I thought instead of just sharing the collection, since it's fully available here on Target's website, I'd take a walk down memory lane as to show you some of my favorite pieces that I sported over the years. I have always been a huge Target fan and these collaborations have always been something I've loved! I linked the items that I could so you can save them for when the collection launches! It's actually really emotional for me to look back at these pictures especially since next month marks 10 years of this blog, so this post is a long time in the making!

This Altuzarra x Target dress will actually be available in the upcoming collection!
These Altuzarra x Target velvet pants will also be available! Sadly I had to give these away as they were too small for me but definitely snagging a new pair!
This 3.1 Philip Lim x Target bag will be available in the new collection!
This 3.1 Philip Lim x Target BOOM sweatshirt will be available in the new collection!
While these specific Lily Pulitzer x Target pants will not be available, this print will be offered in a jumpsuit!
Lily Pulitzer x Target Romper and Sandals
3.1 Philip Lim x Target Top
Unfortunately Victoria Beckham is not participating in this revival collection, but her collection was definitely one of my all time favorites!
I was 17 years old in this photo and was so excited about my Erin Featherston x Target dress. The best part is I still own this dress to this day! Apologies for the blurry photo!

What collection are you most excited to see revived?

So until next time... Live Stylishly

Thanks to Candace Rock Mendes and Wendy Smith for taking these photos way back when!

  1. I am super excited for this collection! I was not able to shop the Lilly collab last time, so I certainly will be picking up some of those pieces.
