Stylish New Years Resolutions

Can you believe today is the last day of 2010!? Every year I attempt to make new year's resolutions and while the first few months of the new year I keep them, life gets busy so I end up forgetting about the resolutions I told myself I would achieve. WIth this being the end of a decade, I have a lot to be thankful for seeing that I have gone through a tremendous amount over the past ten years, so this year I will keep these resolutions! Here are mine:

Continue building this blog and bringing my readers relatable content and exciting tips.
To be more philanthropical this coming year, I have been given so much I need to give some of that back!
I will be graduating college in June, I want to take my life to the next level and fulfill my dream of being a writer!
Wake up each day and remember to thank the people around me for always supporting me and being there for me every step of the way.
Finally, to live life in the most stylish way possible!

Enjoy the last day of this decade and enjoy the celebrations tonight, next time we speak it will be 2011!

New Years Eve is tomorrow and that means the perfect outfit is needed! While I am still in SoCal I will be ringing in the new year the most perfect way possible- at a Los Angeles Lakers game what more could you ask for? While normally I would wear my purple and gold attire I am going to spice up my outfit a little more since its NYE and all! Stylish 2010 Flashback

With only 3 days left in 2010, it is time to reminisce about this year and what we plan on doing to be stylish in 2011! 2010 has been quite a year for me I will definitely say that! I have come a long way and have learned a lot throughout this year, and I think it is appropriate to highlight some of the most stylish events that I have been able to be a part of and other stylish events! 

1. I was heartbroken when one of my most favorite designers took his own life- "Long Live McQueen"

2. I looked back on the last 19 years, as I turned the big 2-0- "Live as long as you may..."

3. I traveled a lot this year- "Travel in Style"

4. My coveted LA Lakers won their 16th title- "Back on Top Once Again"

5. I took a life changing trip-"Goodbye America, Hello Europe"

6. I started working for my favorite store- "Land of the Free"

7. I got to participate as a blogger for PFW- "Phoenix Fashion Week"

8. One year stylish celebration- "One Year of a Stylish Life"

9. I got to meet one of my fashion icons- "Spotted: Lauren Conrad in the Valley"

10. I was in Los Angeles during LA Fashion Week- "Spotted: Stylelista in the City of Angels"

11. I took a stab at cooking- "Stylish Experience: Homemade Enchiladas"

12. My obsession with sequins continued- "Stylishly Sequined"

13. I got to spend Christmas in SoCal- "Stylish Christmas"

With the endless number of posts on nail polish, stylish wishes, and memories I have made with my loved ones, 2010 was a year that will be remembered as a fantastic one! 2011 is set to be just as exciting with graduation in my future and finally the move to SoCal will be taking place! Thank you to all my readers for making this year such an amazing one and I look forward for what's to come!

Stylish Experience: OPI Gel Manicure #2

So with all the craziness of the holidays and finals, I didn't have time to get a mani/ped before my trip to SoCal, so the day after Christmas my sister and I decided to spend the morning pampering ourselves. Since I arrived here I have changed my nail polish twice, so a manicure was definitely needed! If you remember, back in October I tried the OPI Gel Manicure and while I liked the manicure itself, I was really disappointed with the color choice, so I ended up taking it off 4 days later and swore to never get one again until the colors were darker.

Well I chose to get it done again this time using my new favorite OPI color "Russian Navy" and I must say I am in love! Happy Nails and Spa in Huntington Beach is so amazing! The lady who did the manicure was awesome as well! The color is expected to last 2 weeks, which is way longer than I normally keep a color on but we will see! I must say I recommend this salon and this manicure to anyone! I would suggest going with a darker color because the color is slightly lighter since its gel! This is definitely stylelista approved! YAY! It is finally Christmas Eve, which means Santa comes tomorrow! I hope all you stylelista's have been extra good! While we might forget that this time of year is to celebrate with loved ones and celebrate the greatest time of year! Stylish Girl of the Month: Mila Kunis

So it's that time again, to choose a stylish girl for the month of December! And the winner is Mila Kunis! While she played the hilarious Jackie on That 70's Show, she is starring in the biggest movie of the season, Black Swan and is everyone's girl crush! She has incredible style and is the most obvious choice for December's Stylish Girl of the Month! The Ukrainian/American actress is a force to be reckoned with!  Lets hope she wins Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes! Here are some reasons why she is my choice for Stylish Girl of the Month!

Stylish Rain Attire

I have had a very eventful few days. My trip has been postponed due to the biggest rainstorm in California since 1921, just my luck! So I am stuck in the valley waiting for the warnings to be lifted so I can get to SoCal. I am hoping I make it before Christmas! So an idea came to mind, how should I dress since the one place that NEVER rains is getting more than 18 inches of rain! Well of course, Burberry came to mind! A trench, rain boots, and an umbrella all to keep me dry from the downpour! Just like Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's it is possible to stay stylish while trying to stay dry at the same time!

Keep your fingers crossed I can get out of the valley and into SoCal!

Finals are over, and I am officially on winter break! No school or work for 3 beautiful weeks! I will be spending the holiday's with friends and family in gorgeous Southern California and the clock is ticking away as I leave in only 3 days and I have to manage to fit my entire wardrobe into one suitcase and possibly a bag! Stylish Couples

Lately, it seems every couple that I actually thought would last ends up divorced, most recently Scarlett and Ryan! I was shocked to hear the news, so it got me thinking what couples are happily married and a stylish couple! While the couples that came to mind, aren't together anymore I did manage to find a new that I definitely think are stylish!

 While I may miss Brad and Jen, Brangelina is definitely a stylish couple!

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are the music stylish couple! Gwen has expanded to designing as well! 

While Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel may not be walking down the aisle anytime soon, they are definitely a fashion forward couple! Justin's line William Rast is incredibly successful and while I always may refer to him as the member of N'Sync, he has definitely come a long way!

I will admit, I am incredibly jealous that Fergie snatched Josh Duhamel, they are incredibly stylish and I can only imagine what their children are going to look like ha!

And the award for most stylish couple goes too. David and Victoria Beckham! Both stunning and incredibly stylish!

Stylishly Stressed

In previous posts, I have posted how I stay stylish during stress, and this week is no different! After 11 long weeks, and countless hours or work it is finally finals week and in just a few short days I will finally be on a much needed break, spending time with my family in beautiful California! But before I can start some much needed RnR I have to get through my finals and my last few days of work before I'm off! So you ask how I stay stylish during this extremely stressful time? Well I will say Starbucks becomes my best friend as does the itunes on my computer! I will be up countless hours this week finishing up last minute projects and studying for tests! So here is how I stay stylish when I am buried in stress!

Stylish New Face of Chanel

As if I wasn't already jealous enough of Blake Lively, the news broke that she is the newest face of my favorite designer Chanel's, made me even more jealous! It only makes sense because she is a walking advertisement for Chanel. Sitting front row at every show she naturally impressed Karl Lagarfeld making the decision easy for Karl to choose Blake!

She is extremely close with Karl and he even guest starred on Gossip Girl earlier this season. Blake Lively will appear in the new campaign for Chanel's tony handbag collection, which was reported to have been shot last week in Paris.

Congrats Blake, we know you will be as stylish as ever!

Stylish Christmas Movies

If you know me by now, you know that I am thoroughly OBSESSED with Christmas! I jump when ABC Family's 25 days of Christmas starts (yes I print the schedule out and post it on my fridge) and my list of favorite Christmas movies is extremely long. So last night as I was watching the hilarious Will Ferrell in Elf, I got an idea for today's blog post! I am going to share some of my favorite Christmas movies that are stylelista approved! Stylish Menswear Looks

I was flipping through channels this past weekend and I stopped at Fashion Police and saw that Leighton Meester was on as Joan's worst dressed in her suit and tie, resembling the men's wear look we have seen in many fashion magazines. I thought Leighton's look was okay, some improvements were much needed but it was definitely a good look for her. As I was reading the latest issue of Glamour magazine I came across the fashion feautre of "a girl's guide to boyswear." It gives you tips on how to properly wear menswear but still look feminine. I personlly like this look and think its definitely stylish if done properly. So below are some stylish options for the perfect men's wear look!
