A Stylish Malibu Wedding Recap

I know I was MIA last week, let's just say it was a crazy freakin' week but I am so excited for today's post because I am finally sharing my sister's wedding! I have shared some sneak peeks over on Insta, but I knew I couldn't not share it on the blog! The day was simply perfect even if it was nearly 100 degrees! It was only about 70 guests in total and it felt so intimate and perfect for my sister and her now husband! For those of you who don't know, my sister and her now husband Rickey, fell in love in second grade! Yes, you read that right, 2nd grade! Unfortunately, my dad's job transferred our family to Texas at the end of my sister's second grade year (2001) and it wasn't until years later that my sister and Rickey reconnected and fell right back in love. (They dated for nearly 5 years before getting married) I think that was what made this wedding so special is that it was literally 15+ years in the making!
My mom and sister with the major help of Robin, the wedding planner, put together the most beautiful wedding I have ever been too. Every little detail was thought of and it was just so my sister.  Purple (mostly lavender) was the main color, so everything from my dress by Azazie to the water glasses which were all shades of lavender and it was perfect for the outdoor venue. The venue, Cielo Farms, is a private winery in Malibu that has the most amazing views of the canyons that I have probably ever seen. The day felt like it went by so fast, I swear before I knew it the wedding was ending and we were all leaving. I am still shocked I made it the entire day without crying. I think because I was with my sister the entire day and saw it all come together made it easier for me to hold it together. I also think the constant heat stroke we were all having made it hard to cry, would have made us even hotter! :)
I was so happy that my sister asked me to be a part of her special day, but damn I was nervous as hell to give my MOH speech. Thankfully, it went off without a hitch and everyone loved it so the nerves went right away! Overall, it was just the perfect day and I couldn't have had a better time. The pictures are just perfect, the photographer, Camryn Clair, is AMAZING and captured every moment so perfectly. For my SoCal brides to be and even brides all over, she is amazing and definitely worth reaching out too! These photos are just a few of the hundreds of photos we have!
