Stylish Nail DIY: Ombre Glitter Nails

I've been stuck at home for the last few days with laryngitis so yesterday I finally felt well enough to make a quick trip to Michael's to get some Martha Stewart glitter after seeing Erika and Emily create these adorable nails! Since graduation, I have been wanting to do more DIY projects, but just haven't found something that I felt confident enough to do but these ombre glitter nails I knew I could do! I chose Essie's "Nice is Nice" and Martha Stewart's "Charoite" This was actually easier than I thought.
I started off with two coats of nail polish and let it fully dry. I then applied Seche Vite fast dry top coat and let that dry as well.
I then used a clean old eyeliner makeup brush, dipped it in top coat and then the glitter and then painted the glitter on the tips of my nails. I discovered there really isn't a way to be neat about this, it actually looks better messy, in my opinion, and I did this until I felt there was enough glitter on each nail. I did this for each nail and then let it dry. I then applied a final coat of top coat and did it from the nail tip to the bed to spread the glitter out over the nail
VOILA! Super easy. It can be quite messy but if you do it on area, you should be fine!
 What do you think?
So until next time... Live Stylishly
