Stylish Fall Wardrobe Need: Tops

Stylish Tops

I went SO dress crazy over the summer that now that it's cooling down I feel like I have no tops in my closet. I go through phases where all I want to wear are v necks or all I want to wear are button downs, and my closet seems to be one or the other so I have been on the conscience hunt to find cute tops that do not fall into those categories, unless of course its a must have top. Since its still semi warm during the day I can't quite wear sweaters so something lightweight is a must. I decided to scour the web for new top choices that are along the lines of what I need. What is your closet dying to have more of? Hope everyone is having a great week!

I am so excited about today's outfit because I cannot get enough of this sweater. This is another outfit that I snagged from Altuzarra for Target's collection and this sweater is going to be on repeat this winter I already know it! I have never been someone who likes velvet, but I saw these pants and thought I would take a chance on them and step outside my comfort zone and boy am I glad I did! I love how comfortable and chic they are and paired with this sweater is absolutely perfect! I can't wait to wear this as the weather gets cooler! Thanks to Wendy for shooting these pictures! Don't forget to head over to SoCal Blogger Society and see our monthly link up! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

October Stylish GIrl of the Month: Rosamund Pike

I literally cannot believe that this is the last week of October. The holidays are almost here and I am getting so excited! I have to share that I have had my October pick for SGOTM since early October after I saw Gone Girl. Rosamund Pike's performance in Gone Girl absolutely blew me away and she makes the perfect choice for October's Stylish Girl of the Month! Rosamund is a London native and is best known for being Bond girl in Die Another Day and then wowed everyone in this months release of Gone Girl. Not only is she an incredible actress, but she has impeccable style, which doesn't surprise me because all Europeans have incredible style. Currently she is pregnant and her style is even more on point than ever! See below why I chose Rosamund as October's Stylish Girl of the Month.

LOVE this mixed media Erdem shirtdress.
This Altuzarra dress with high slit Rosamund wore to the Gone Girl premiere is to die for!
I need this white Dior dress in my closet!
This zippered Louis Vuitton dress is just incredible.
Yellow gets me everytime and this Alexander McQueen dress is absolutely stunning!

Happy Tuesday! Is it Friday yet, because I need sleep! I was excited to hear that the weather here in SoCal is going to actually somewhat cool down so wearing anything more than a sundress and sandals will actually be possible. I got this Liberty Sage dress back in late summer and knew it was the perfect dress for fall. It was sophisticated enough for work, but had a bit of a twist with the leather back detailing. I paired it with my new obsession, my Altuzarra for Target heels and voila the perfect fall outfit from day to night! Thanks to my girl Wendy for snapping these awesome pictures! A Stylish Napa Weekend Getaway Recap

Happy Monday! I am back from my weekend getaway to Napa and can I just say, "what an incredible weekend!" I had the absolute best time visitning the gorgeous Napa Valley and getting to try some amazing wines and meet some incredible people. My parents went above and beyond anything my sister and I could have ever imagined for our first trip to Napa and I can't wait to share it all! We flew in San Francisco on Friday so were only able to visit one winery, but this was an incredible start to the trip! We started at Robert Mondavi, one of my personal favorites, and got to take a inside tour of the winery, learn all the history and of course get to taste some incredible wines.

Saturday was our big day and we had a guide drive us around to the best spots. We started at Enriquez Family Wines, which is owned by a 27 year adorable gal named Cecilia, yes I said 27! She has been in the wine business for three years and her story is absolutely incredible and reccomend this winery to everyone and anyone. She was such a sweetheart and really loves making wine. We then headed to Robert Hunter Winery where the magic really happened. We took a tour of the incredible grounds and got to taste some of the best wine and champagne I have ever had. We heard all about how Robert and his wife Ann ran the winery and then last year Robert passed and Ann, who is now 88, still runs the winery along with the help of others. Hearing the story of Ann and Robert was so amazing I could only imagine what it would be like to actually meet her in person. Our host, Kurt, had said she was resting and may come out and say hi but we knew she was resting and it was a Saturday. All of the sudden, Ann comes out and we get to have a private (and delicious) lunch with her on her patio overlooking the vineyard! It was just my family and Ann and we got to listen to her absolutely amazing stories and spend time with her. Even at 88 she is a fireball and drank her entire glass of champagne! I am so beyond grateful I got to meet this amazing women and couldn't be more thankful to my parents for giving me this opportunity!

I, of course, had my camera and took pictures along the way so I thought I would share some of my favorites.  I also managed to sneak some outfit pics in as well! If you have the itch to go to Napa, GO! It was such an incredible trip and I want to go back again soon! Thanks again to my parents for making this awesome trip happen! I love you both!

Stylish Napa Weekend Outfit

Napa Weekend Getaway

I am so excited to be heading to Napa Valley tomorrow with my family for a fun fall family weekend getaway! I have never been to Napa and can't wait to expierence it with my favorite people and enjoy a long overdue mini family vacation. While unfortunately its going to be hotter than hades there this weekend, I am still worried as always about what I am going to wear, so I decided to put together a perfect outfit for a day of wine tasting with the family even if its nearly 100 degrees! Typically, I would make this more fall, but due to the weather I made some adjustements by adding in fall like accessories! Make sure to follow me on Instagram as I will be posting many pictures during my trip! If any of you have been to Napa and have recommendations, please let me know :)

Sorry I've been MIA the last few days, work has been insane so I have been working late and trying to catch up, but I am back and here to stay! While the weather here in SoCal has been everything but fall like, that isn't stopping me from trying on all my fun fall outfits from the comfort of my air conditioned house. I mean mother nature seriously is giving us west coast residers a run for our money since its October 7th and nearly 90 degrees, where is that fall cool weather!? Anyways if you follow me on twitter you know I snagged quite a few pieces from the Altuzarra for Target collaboration and this is a top that I know I will have on repeat all season long. Normally I gravitate away from skirts, but I snagged this skirt during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and have been looking for the perfect top to pair it with and voila, this striped top is PERFECT! I kept it simple with just black booties and my coveted GiGi NY clutch and I am set for a perfect day to night look with little effort! Thanks to Wendy for snapping these incredible pictures! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far!
